We are recruiting for Permanent as well as Fixed Term Contract New Store and Refit Planners to lead the delivery of merchandise implementation for new stores/refits & upgrades. This is a key role within the team, liaising with a broad number of stakeholders including the Merchandising and Operations teams. Supporting the department merchandising strategy and ensuring that processes are in place to achieve the business objectives.
This role is the major co-ordination and communication force within the Merchandise Department, Store Development, and Suppliers & Stores. Ensuring that the administration and procedural function of New Store and Upgrade / Refit is implemented, maintained and followed up in a professional manner and that all functions have a thorough understanding of the requirements.
Key result areas:
Build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Merchandising, Operations, Store Development & suppliers ensuring timely, accurate information is communicated within department/other function & stores
Deliver a variety of projects whilst being able to react quickly to challenges especially when on site
Create store stock staging & merchandise implementation schedules
Review and deliver process and procedures to ensure stock is managed and checked off in an organised and timely manner in ready for store set up
Build strong relationship with and coach new store leadership team as well as be key liaison whilst also supporting with management of onsite resources
Provide onsite Merchandise representation for first week of new store set up.
Big-box store experience in a managerial capacity would be an advantage
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Microsoft Officer 365 – (Intermediate) Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to develop, manage and lead a team
Experience working in Operations / Merchandising
