Commercial Accountant - (Planning & FP&A Manager)
This is a high-profile role within the Finance function, in which you will liaises with and have exposure to all levels of Bunnings management and Wesfarmers group accounting.
You will be responsible for managing the planning team to ensure we are effectively analyzing submissions, challenging costs and delivering timely forecasts of business performance.
You will also lead on presenting these forecasts to senior stakeholders and providing commentary upon submission to our parent company.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Development and modelling of financial plans over time horizons of up to 5 years
Effective management of both high-level desktop performance estimates and in depth forecast and budget exercises
Coordination of departments beyond finance to deliver robust and timely submissions.
Provide challenge on costs across the business through insightful analysis and understanding of key cost drivers
“Argenti” Financials Processes
Co-ordinate the activities between Planning and Business Development teams to deliver financial estimates within the Annual “Argenti” Strategic planning process (5 Year Corporate Plan)
Cashflow and Balance Sheet
Review and challenge of weekly cashflow analysis and forecasts
Preparation of papers to parent company documenting current and future cash requirements of the business
Advocate continuous improvement within Planning team processes
Support Analysts to develop personally & professionally
Degree educated, accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a planning team, having demonstrated an ability to develop and improve processes
Self-motivated with the ability to work to and meet tight deadlines
Customer service orientation
Clear communicator with a high level of influencing skills and the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders
Technical Knowledge: TM1 / Oracle financials / Microsoft desktop suite / Business Objects
