Our team members are the face of Bunnings. They are the first point of contact with our customers and play a critical role in representing the Bunnings brand and providing customers with a great shopping experience every day by being friendly and helpful.
This is a key role within the store, supporting the Leadership team to develop and deliver true community involvement. As Activities Organiser, you’ll develop and oversee a program of activities and ‘in store vibe’ that enhances our offer to the customer and makes our store an exciting place to shop.
You’ll identify opportunities for a programme of activities within the local community, both in and around the store. This will include fundraising events, liaising with community groups and partnerships, helping them participate in events, as well as taking the local lead for corporate community initiatives.
You’ll plan and develop a range of workshops to be run in-store for our customers around product demonstrations, events, kids workshops, themed entertainment and regular clubs – running some yourself and other through our suppliers and expert team members.
It really is a unique and rewarding role, bringing you close to our customers in your local community. An interest in DIY, home improvement or gardening is of course really helpful, but it’s your attitude and values that are the most important!
What do we need from you?
Previous experience in facilitating presentations and workshops to groups is highly desirable
A real passion for customer service and helping others
A “can do” attitude that shows flexibility, willingness and tenacity to see the job done.
A talent for building rapport quickly with others of all ages and backgrounds, with confident and positive body language
An ability to plan, prioritise and complete work, with good organisational skills in verbal and written communication
An ability to work well on your own initiative whilst contributing to the wider team
Basic PC skills and knowledge of applications (e.g MS Office) advantageous
Flexibility to work a rota that covers seven days a week
You may also be required to support other departments when required
